COMPANY HISTORY
DJ Murphy & Company was formed in June 2001. The company is solely and equally owned by Danny Murphy, David Nielsen and Chuck Sherrill, the three partners of the firm.
Danny and David worked together as a project team in the early and mid-’90s and successfully completed a wide range of construction projects throughout Arizona for clients that included Mayo Clinic, Motorola, Troon North, TRW, Phoenix Civic Plaza and Samaritan Heath Services, to name just a few. One of their most memorable projects was the Scottsdale Stadium. Danny and Chuck worked together in the late ’90s and successfully completed numerous multi-family projects in the Phoenix area.
Prior to forming the company, Danny was working as Regional Director of Construction for a national real estate investment trust, Chuck was General Superintendent for a well-established general contractor and David was Regional Vice President of Operations for a national construction firm. All three had developed very successful careers and reputations through hard work and dedication and by providing outstanding results for their employers and clients. The men’s complementary backgrounds, combined with a history of working together and shared values of honesty and integrity, created the foundation for the new company.
Since the formation of the company, the goal has been to provide outstanding service, quality and value to a select group of construction clients in both the commercial and custom residential markets. DJ Murphy & Company has been very successful by focusing on its core values and goals and has steadily developed a substantial base of satisfied clients. The three partners remain directly involved in all of the projects.
Chuck has been involved in the frontline of the construction industry for more than 30 years and is considered a Master Builder.
Danny holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction from Arizona State University. He has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction from Arizona State University. He has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry.
